Hey friends, just wanted to express our gratitude and thanks to all who made it to our showcase at Canadian Music Week 2008. This years CMW was a success and we had a blast, made a lot of new contacts and blew the roof off Clinton's Tavern! The sound guy, stage manager & his assistant, bartenders and door staff loved our performance and said we were one of the best bands that ever played there! We will take the CMW experience home with us and never forget it, it was quite an interesting, if not crazy weekend to say the least.
To top it off, we played a surprise performance at The Red Rooster Saturday night on the way home and we had a blast. The staff was happy to see us and asked if we'd grace the stage, especially since a band canceled due to the weather, so we played of course and we even headlined! There was a great crowd that night, especially considering the weather conditions, and everyone (familiar faces and new ones)loved our set and we cleared out of all the rest of our CD's! Thanks to the Red Rooster for the love and support they always show us and we'll see you all very soon... The Tragedy EP will be released in April and the tour begins!
Horns up and cheers! Chris NERVE
We have had one helluva year in 2007. We sold out of our limited edition ReArrangeD CD's at gigs and online and have got a lot of industry attention along the way at our crazy ass shows! Things are looking big for 2008 and we have some serious news to tell you soon... but for now, all we are saying is that our long awaited new 6-song EP "The Tragedy" is being recorded in Dec 2007 and will be set for release early in 2008. This album is our heaviest, most daring material to date and will definitely melt your faces off!
We will be playing sporadic shows this winter to concentrate on recording, mixing, promo and marketing but we will tour in the spring/summer of 2008. We will also be writing new material for our next experimental project that will really surprise you all! That's a promise!!!
NERVE's video for the title track off their new CD "ReArrangeD" was shot June 17th at Twisters Nightclub in Chatham Ontario. The shoot was a great success with a number of our fans showing up to be extras and everything running smoothly. We had some press in the local papers about the shoot and Canada Social was there to interview us for an article featured in the Aug or Sept issue. We also obtained sponsorship from Discipline Clothing Company out of Windsor as well. It was a big smooze fest kinda day! Frosted FX of Toronto will be editing and applying post-effects over the next couple weeks and the video is set to be released July 30th at a Video Release Party at Twisters!!! It'll be one helluva party and we hope everyone from South Western Ontario can make it out and celebrate the release of our first video! A full screening will take place as well as a live performance by yours truly and a signing/meet & greet after the show :) We have 2 great opening bands, Pitch Union for Windsor and Uneven Ground from Toronto to support us on this big night!
That's right folks, the wait is over!!! Our brand new album has been mastered and is set to be released March 10th 2006 at our London CD Release Party @ The Salt Lounge. If you live in London or the surrounding areas, do not miss this show! Make the drive if you have to, it'll be a blast! We're going to give it our all and do what we do best - rock you hard with an intense, in-your-face, sweaty, heart pounding show that will leave you breathless and wanting more!!! Plus, you'll be able to purchase our new CD for $10 as well as other merch.
Also, keep your ears open in 2006 for NERVE on the radio. We have already been getting airplay on The Rock 95.1 in Windsor/Chatham and we'll be spotlighted on The Rock and 89X soon. We are sending our album to radio stations across Canada in hopes of generating buzz nationwide and spreading the NERVE word! LOL We've also been asked to send in our mp3's to internet radio stations like Radio xXx out of Toronto and ClimaXx Radio out of the US! These links will soon appear on our MySpace & new website coming soon so you can visit their sites and request us! Help support NERVE by requesting us on your favorite radio station this spring/summer.
