Introduction

The Uptown Swing Band is a Toronto based 10-piece dance band whose repertoire celebrates the best swing music from three decades. With both male and female vocalists to draw upon, the Uptown Swing Band faithfully recreates wartime favourites from the swing-era 40s, jump and jive music from the fabulous 50s, and Rat Pack performances from the swingin’ 60s, plus a few Ballroom Classics in every memorable show.
The Uptown Swing Band never fails to coax their audiences onto the dance floor – and keep them there all night! Weekly rehearsals, regular club gigs and numerous concerts, dances and corporate functions keep the band busy and swinging to the max. You will find them to be absolutely perfect – and perfectly affordable – for your special function, whether it’s a civic or corporate event, or even a great private gala or dance.
