"The Weber Brothers have a highly diverse sound. The range of genres on their new CD, 149 Lake Street, is not only wide, the talent these two brothers display portraying those sounds is quite simply astounding... The latent skill of these two brothers is highly in evidence across the entire disc. Influences abound on these 25 tracks, new country/pop sounds, a la Wilco are found along side older influences that bring The Band and Eric Clapton to mind. Even a intriguing ode to Motown is to be had here. Love Keeps Escaping/I Want to Follow You is filled with rocking guitar riffs and a howling vocal that errs on the tuneful side of desparate.
